Best of

July

Summer feelings start to emerge, and with warm weather comes hope inevitably. Perhaps it is only a mirage, but summer was the necessary deep breath for everyone to recover from the lockdown’s most challenging months. Nothing was like last year indeed, but perhaps July let us believe that it was for a few moments.
On July we were able to start selecting the first Carmencita Grant we gave in partnership with Kodak. The winner was a great work by a Hungarian photojournalist who is currently developing his next assignment in India. Of course, all the project timeline is delayed due to the current situation, but we are sure the results will be worth it!
The demand for consumer films exploded this summer, and Kodak ColorPlus200 became as scarce as toilet paper in March. Oficial fonts from Kodak confirmed that the order exceeded any predictions they had. They are re-investing a lot back into improving the production so the demand for fresh film can be met from now on and we will have the film available all over Europe!
At least that’s some good news already for 2021 🙂
Stay safe, take care, and if you can, take care of someone else too.
