LARGE FORMAT
Shooting film is one thing, and shooting large format film is another. We are proud to be able to offer you the posibility to scan your large format work up to 2750ppi!
All our color C-41 film sheets are developed in a dip & dunk process in a partner lab that has a wide experience on it and the B&W/E-6 are processed manually. This ensure the best stability for the chemistry used and makes your sheet film free from scratches.

Fujifilm FineScan 2750
Our large format scanner is the Fujifilm Fine Scan 2750, on of the flagship scanners from Fuji for the digitalization of transparencies, art work, and obviously, large format film, glass plates and other photographic mediums.
2750ppi
The FineScan scanner is, unlike the Frontier or the Noritsu a flat-belt scanner. What does this mean? This means that the sensor is mounted on a belt system that moves across the surface of the film capturing the image line per line.
In these kind of scanners the resolution is refered as ppi (pixels per inch) that can capture. We offer you 2 main resolutions:
1500 ppi
4×5”
6.000 x 7.500 px
8×10”
12.000 x 15.000 px
2750 ppi
4×5”
11.000 x 13.750 px
8×10”
22.000 x 27.500 px
Formats
The Fujifilm FineScan large format scanner allow us to work with virutally any media. Up to the size 30 x 45 cm.
We work with the main standard formats of sheet film 4×5”, 9×12, 8×10”… but it’s also posible to scan old glass plates, transparencies and virtually any transparent material.

POSITIVES / OPAQUES
We are now able to scan not only positive film such as slides or positive transparencies but also printed media or opaque images. This comes in handy to digitalize old images that exist only on print or this such as wet plates, archival images or illustrations.

RAW SCANS
We’ve configured the Fujifilm FineScan to have a completely raw scan directly form the negative. This means that all the information that is possible to capture will be there, and the look you’ll see is the one provided by the negative.
For positives, illustrations or opaques we have a color calibrated profile to translates in the best posible way the real colors of the print to the digital file.
The colors you see on the screen will be the same you see on the original.
