A WILD IDEA
Upcycling has always been part of our DNA,
ever since we learned actual silver can be refined out of from negatives through its chemistry, this wild idea of crafting something out of this incredible material became a dream.
Today, this dream is brought to life.

Film photography is based on silver nitrate (AgNO₃), and its ability to combine with other elements producing silver halides allowed the creation of the first photographs back in 1839.
Close to ~200 years have passed, yet silver remains at the core of the process. Nowadays we can recover most of it from used chemistry, and through a refining process, we are able to obtain 99.9% pure fine silver, which is later converted to Sterling Silver made of 92.5% silver & 7.5% copper.

THE PROCESS
1. Chemistry
Everything starts with chemistry. Silver halides are captured by the chemistry as the film is developed and stored in our filter system for a year.
Each roll of C41 film contains roughly ~0.0176 grams of silver.
It takes over 600 rolls to craft just one ring, turning what was once light into something tangible and enduring.
2. Melting
Our jeweler artist carefully handcrafts each ring’s shape using wax, a method that feels perfectly aligned with the analog, slower-paced way of doing things.
The foundry transforms fine silver into sterling silver, pouring it into a mold based on the wax shape.
During the process, the wax melts away, allowing the silver to fill every intricate gap, preserving the artist’s intent in every detail.
3. Crafting
Polishing, cleaning, and fine-tuning the raw pieces from the foundry. This process is where the devil meets the details.
We embrace the imperfections, fingerprints, and textures left behind, highlighting the rugged essence of the material and the journey it has undergone.
